The problem
Every design session, Designers lose time they couldn't account for. Not to bad decisions or unclear briefs; but to switching tabs.
Leaving Figma to brainstorm copy in an LLM, then coming back, then leaving again. Personally, that context-switching breaks my creative flow and pull my attention away from my work
Designers shouldn't have to choose between 'Lorem Ipsum' and leaving their workspace..
I started asking:what can I do to solve this? why does generating copy have to live outside the canvas?
What I Built
In-Flow is a Figma plugin that generates contextual UI copy directly on the canvas, powered by the Google Gemini API.
Select a text layer. Describe what you're designing. Choose a tone. Hit generate. Your copy appears. And without ever leaving Figma.
My role
I designed, and shipped this tool with no prior development experience.
Treating the build like a design challenge; I mapped the logic with Gemini and Claude, moved into Cursor to write and iterate the code, and debugged through constant LLM-assisted iteration.
